AewolFlow
What's new
New features and improvements in AewolFlow.

Scholium is now AewolFlow
- •Built in Aewol, on Jeju Island. The product now shares a name with the company behind it — AewolFlow by Aewol Labs
- •Only the name and logo changed. Your account, data, saved papers, and billing are untouched

Figure explanations · highlight notes
- •Figure explanations: click a figure/table in the reading view and the AI explains it grounded in its caption and the paper's text — figures without a caption honestly say "can't explain"
- •Highlight notes: select a sentence to leave a note — saved to your account and restored on that exact sentence whenever you reopen the paper. A note never saves against a sentence the paper doesn't contain
- •Notes panel: the 'Notes' button above the paper collects this paper's notes; click one to jump to its sentence
- •Sentence selection in PDF papers too: uploaded PDFs now render in our own viewer — select a sentence to get the same tools as arXiv reading (highlight, notes, explain, translate, ask, related papers), with highlights and notes restored in place on revisit
- •Knowledge graph (/graph): explore how your drafts, collections, and papers connect — click a node to open it; enter from the research list
- •Reading UX: AI chat and summaries render bold/code/lists properly, summary depth switches and revisits restore instantly, and selecting a sentence offers 'Related papers' arXiv search
- •Draft export upgrades: LaTeX (.tex that compiles on Overleaf as-is — [arXiv:ID] citations become \cite with official BibTeX embedded), Word (.docx), and Open in Overleaf; paper comparison now restores instantly for the same combination
- •Also shipped: school email verification (Settings), auto-listed AI models on the plan page (Claude·GPT), upgraded collection-chat retrieval, and PDF paper uploads

Lilac AI is now Scholium
- •A scholium is the note a scholar leaves in a text's margin — exactly our direction: your next research starts in the margins of the papers you read
- •Only the name, logo, and favicon changed — your account, data, and features are untouched

Research workspace · My materials · paper-first revamp
- •Feels faster: instant loading feedback on navigation, home recommendations and paper bodies stream in without blocking the page, font CDN preconnect
- •PDF paper uploads (/papers): read papers beyond arXiv with summaries, AI chat, and key sentences — text-layer PDFs (scans coming later)
- •Citation graph (Semantic Scholar): citation counts, TL;DR, and papers citing/cited by — on reference cards, library cards, and the reading view. Follow-up ideas now cite the actual sentences later papers wrote when citing your references
- •Research workspace (/research): arXiv literature search and reference management, evidence-grounded follow-up ideas, section drafting, rubric review and mock peer review, paper comparison, Markdown·BibTeX export
- •Library (/library): gather papers into topic collections, chat with the whole collection, synthesize literature reviews, and spin a collection into a draft
- •Research upgrades: AI scout (search strategy → arXiv exploration → ranked candidates, with visible steps), idea → research-plan expansion, structured Trends tab with paper detail cards
- •Citation suggestions: per-claim support from your references and arXiv with one-click [arXiv:ID] insertion — unsupported claims are flagged for manual verification
- •Sidebar cleanup: Research·Library·Materials grouped as Workspace, Billing demoted to the utility menu, compact account footer
- •Home and Dashboard merged: start form, research drafts, recent analyses, recommendations, and plan/usage in one home — /dashboard now redirects home
- •Smart start launcher: one input that routes — arXiv links open reading, YouTube links register into My materials, topics become a new draft. Onboarding trimmed to 3 steps
- •Reading upgrades: paragraph-level Korean translation toggle (generated once per paper, cached forever) and auto-highlights (problem·method·result·limitation, verbatim-verified sentences only) — hero search bar home
- •My materials (/materials): upload your own videos or register YouTube links → review with a timestamped transcript, linked to papers and drafts
- •Paper-first revamp: video auto-detection and segment mapping were retired. Start from an arXiv link on the home screen

Expanded reading tools
- •Four summary depths, keyword glossary, quizzes, BibTeX citations
- •AI chat grounded in the paper — paid plans can pick Claude·GPT models
- •Home/dashboard split, interest-based paper recommendations, KO/EN language setting
